The anchor breast lift technique is incredibly popular. It is versatile, effective, and capable of delivering unparalleled results. It can help remove excess skin and fat deposits that surround the breast area. Using this technique, Dr. Pope can even completely reposition the breasts to make them look more aesthetically pleasing.
Benefits of the Anchor Breast Lift Technique
The anchor breast lift technique can:
• Elevate and change the positioning of the nipples on both breasts.• Help reduce the size of the areola.• Tighten the breasts by removing any excess skin surrounding the breast horizontally and vertically.• Correct asymmetrical breasts.
Dr. Pope will begin the procedure by making an incision that will run horizontally along the fold that connects the breasts to the chest wall, also known as the inframammary fold.
How Is the Anchor Breast Lift Technique Performed?
First, Dr. Pope will mark the location of the inframammary fold on your chest. If both breasts are symmetrical then the existing inframammary folds are used. Otherwise, the fold is lowered or made higher depending on the position of each breast.
The desired placement of the nipple is drawn out and a keyhole design is drawn to show the vertical incision. This keyhole design will mark the desired position of the nipple areolar complex on the breasts. The vertical incisions will allow Dr. Pope to remove the excess skin and fat.
Dr. Pope will then resize the areola to make it more proportionate to the rest of the breast. He will remove some skin from between the circular incisions made, undermine the skin on both sides, and elevate the areolas. He will then complete the anchor breast lift procedure by suturing the incisions beneath both breasts.
Dr. Pope will strategically close the incisions to limit the visibility of post-surgical marks that arise from the procedure.
