Pope Plastic Surgery Ambassadors Are Book Buds

Pope Plastic Surgery Center - ASPS Member Surgeon

Dana Capps and Dee Brandt, employees for the Pope Plastic Surgery, both attended the UCP of Central Florida’s annual event Book Buds on Thursday, September 26 at UCP’s Holloway/Downtown campus.

UCP celebrated the importance of reading with sixty volunteers that included community and business leaders, as well as elected officials.  The event took place at each of the UCP’s six campuses in Central Florida including the Downtown campus, East Orlando campus, Lake Mary campus, Kissimmee campus, Pine Hills campus and the Winter Garden campus.

“It is important to realize that reading to children at an early age builds the foundation for future academic and life successes,” said Ilene Wilkins, UCP of Central Florida’s president and CEO.  “Reading is an important part of UCP’s daily curriculum, but Book Buds offers a unique opportunity to bring volunteers into the classroom and further emphasize the benefits of reading in a fun and interactive way.”
