What Makes Sculptra Different from Other Injectables?

Fine lines and wrinkles on the face can ruin your perfect smile and hinder a good first impression. If you are overly conscious and find yourself hiding your facial expressions from your friends and family due to the effects of age and gravity, then you might want to consider utilizing a dermal filler to fade away fine lines and wrinkles from your face.

What Is Sculptra?

Dr. George Pope is dedicated to achieving the best results in every patient and uses the most up to date cosmetic techniques and products like Sculptra, a revolutionary new aesthetic in the family of dermal fillers that can be used to rejuvenate your youthful appearance. It is a facial aesthetic that helps to boost collagen production in the skin.

Sculptra can be used to fade away wrinkles, smile lines, and marionette lines. These are the lines that arise between the mouth and nose and appear more defined with age. In addition to eliminating these adverse signs of aging, it can also increase the volume and fullness of the face.

The Difference Between Sculptra and Other Injectables

Botox

Sculptra is a dermal filler that contains natural and synthetic substances to fill in wrinkled, old, and loose skin on the face. It can make your face more smooth and give it a younger and fresher look. Botox is a botulinum toxin that paralyzes facial muscles when it is injected into the skin.

The main difference between the two is that Botox works better on more solid surfaces like the forehead and around the eyes. Sculptra works better in other areas that have loose skin such as the chin, cheeks, and around the mouth.

Juvederm

While Sculptra specializes in tightening loose and wrinkled skin around the mouth area, Juvederm works wonders for smaller and finer lines around the lips. However, it isn’t suited for deeper lines that commonly appear around the chin and cheek area.

Also, the effects of Juvederm may last anywhere between six to nine months, but the results are instantaneous. On the other hand, Sculptra takes two to three months to start working but provides results that can last up to two years. Sculptra can add volume and rejuvenate the entire face, but Juvederm targets specific fine lines around the lip and mouth area.

Voluma

Voluma is different from Sculptra as well. Sculptra takes at least two months to start working as it uses Poly-L-lactic acid to gradually increase collagen production in the body. Voluma, on the other hand, contains hyaluronic acid particles that are bonded more strongly and can offer you instant contouring and structuring in the cheek and chin area. Unlike Sculptra, the results are almost instant, but not very long lasting.

The results provided by Sculptra are unique in that you won’t see a significant difference immediately, but its long lasting benefits are second to none.
